Who we are
Hey there, I'm Dan Moyers, Founder & Owner/Operator of Longmont Colorado based MOventure Outfitters and the "MO" in MOventure.
Our Story
For decades I’ve explored Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West through my favorite pursuits of fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, overlanding, soft roading, and snowboarding.
Along the way, my vehicle shifted from just point A to point B transportation into an adventure supporting basecamp that enables every adventure — letting me go farther, experience more, and camp comfortably, safely, and longer.
MOventure was born from the power of this shift and I started it to share what I’ve learned and help folks create and use their vehicle to support their own adventures.

We are an adventure vehicle outfitter exclusively focused on helping folks turn their vehicles into adventure supporting basecamps through a unique and unmatched combination of planning Guidance and Gear selection services
Our foundation is the belief that vehicles are the ultimate adventure enablers (what we call adventure supporting basecamps) and that having the right gear for the trail and vehicle-based camping setup truly matters in getting you to the places you adventure and camping there comfortably and safely.
How we're different
Our difference comes through a unique combination of business type, who we serve, and approach.
- We're a consultative, independent, and personalized services company, not a gear retailer or a vehicle upfitting shop.
- We work with anyone with any vehicle on any budget as clients we serve, not transactional customers we sell stuff to.
- Our approach is holistic and systems minded as we orient around "your vehicle is your Basecamp" to help you envision and approach it as a system made up of sub-systems and components.

- From the newly curious, to beginners, or those already on their way, we meet you (and your vehicle) where you are to help you create and use it as your adventure supporting basecamp.
- Whether you want to transform a newly purchased or already owned stock vehicle, or have an existing setup you want to rethink or optimize, we're here to help.
What we're not
In order to help you decide if we're right for you we think its important to share that we're NOT a gear retailer, gear installer, vehicle upfitter / off road shop, or a vanlife/custom camper vans builder.
With these" nots" in mind, we DON'T:
- stock, sell, or install gear or provide detailed formal recommendations on vehicle mods such as suspensions, lifts, axles, engines, transmission gearing, wheels, or tires
These types of businesses are important and have their place, and if/when you need them, we're happy to refer you as we maintain relationships with the best in the business here in Colorado's front range.
